Dragons in Paddington for a Day on 15 July 2010

Paddington was alive with activity with the annual charity Dragon Boat Race on Thursday 15 July. This is organised every year by Paddington Waterside Partnership. Twelve teams competed in the race whilst fundraising for their selected local sports charity. The teams paddled what looked like an oversized canoe with an ornately carved dragon's head at the front and a tail at the rear, to the beat of a drum. The winners of the race were Development Securities, whilst Paddington Rotary Club were awarded for raising the most money and M&S for the best dressed team.
