Party InPaddington 2008 - Norfolk Square Gardens W2
Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 September 2008.
5.00 p.m. - 8.00 p.m.
On the first evening Tropicallia, a 7-piece Latin American band who bring a real Latin american show to life, are playng. They will take you on a cultural trip through mny different styles of Latin American music such as salsa, cha cha and mambo, mixed with the rythm of samba, lambda and the samba-reggae. Prepare to be wowed by the fancy footwork of the professional dancers from Ceroc, who will be on hand to teach you the basic but impressive dance steps!
The second evening is a special one, starting with the launch of the Paddington BID Renewal Business Proposal, followed by High Society, a brass band with a huge repartee which includes jazz from the 20's to 40's. To accompany this highly sought after band is a very talented London based American songstress Kai Hoffman, who combines a brilliant feel with a deep flexible sound. Kai's refreshing and exciting voice is sure to keep you entertained. Also an accomplished French horn player, Kai was a member of the National Youth Jaz Orchestra for 5 years.

Pulling the Plug Party 2008 - Paddington Basin
Friday 12 September 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Come and celebrate the refilling of the basin (which has been drained for Merchant Square construction) with Merchant Square Estates, Core Grill and See Cafe. It will be an evening of good food, drinks and a wealth of free entertainment which includes remote controlled boat racing, free hair consultations, giant games and free guided walks.
The two free walks are guided by Mr Bryan Gorin, who is a talented & qualified blue badge guide, the walks encompass all of the Paddington area and begin with the construction of the canal, through the ages to the present day and ends up with projections of the future of Paddington.
Walks start at 4.30 p.m. & 6.30 p.m. meeting outside CORE grill by the Helix Bridge, Paddington Basin.
