At the heart of Paddington lies Paddington Station, a major international transport hub, with Heathrow Airport only 15 minutes away.

 

Paddington has fast, efficient connections for local businesses, residents, visitors and commuters. Links from Paddington Station to all London's other mainline terminals via its four Underground lines provide access across London for all travel needs. Eight bus routes serve the Paddington area.

London Underground

 

Paddington Station is a principal hub of the Underground network, with the District, Circle, Bakerloo and Hammersmith and City lines passing through it. The Underground lines link Paddington not only with London's major business districts and tourist attractions but also directly with the other mainline train stations. Travelling by Train

 

Paddington is one of London's busiest stations and serves destinations to the west of London, including Heathrow Airport (15 minutes), Reading (25 minutes), Oxford (58 minutes), Bristol (1hr 22 minutes), the south-west and South Wales (2 hours). Catching a Bus

 

From Paddington you can take a number of bus routes to places such as Oxford Street, Camden Town, Notting Hill and Victoria. For details of local bus routes visit www.tfl.gov.uk

Travelling by Road

 

Road access to and from Paddington is excellent. It is immediately adjacent to the A40 Westway, which becomes the M40 connecting directly to the M25, just seven miles away. Cycle Parking

 

If you are travelling by bicycle, storage is available between Platforms 8 and 9 of Paddington Station, at the corner of Spring Street and Praed Street, next to Starbucks in Sheldon Square, on the canal towpath beneath Bishops Bridge and at the junction of South Wharf Road and Praed Street near Tesco Express. London Airports

 

The Heathrow Express provides a fast, direct link to Heathrow Airport every 15 minutes from platforms 6 and 7, Paddington Station. Trains run in each direction from 0500 until 2330 seven days a week leaving Paddington at 10, 25, 40 and 55 minutes past the hour. The average journey time is 15 minutes to Terminals 1, 2 and 3, and Terminal 4 is reached in a further eight minutes. Tickets are available from www.heathrowexpress.com or at the Heathrow Express ticket kiosks on the platform.

For Stansted Airport take the Circle or Hammersmith and City Line from Paddington to Liverpool Street Station. The Stansted Express leaves every 15 or 30 minutes with an approximate journey time of 45 minutes Monday to Friday. www.stanstedexpress.com

Taxis

 

There are two taxi ranks within five minutes walk of Paddington station, located adjacent to platform 1 of the station and along Praed Street towards Edgware Road.
